Welcome to the Höcker lab!
AG Höcker
We are studying molecular responses of plants to the light environment, in particular the role of protein degradation in light-controlled plant development. To unravel this process, we are using the species Arabidopsis thaliana, Physcomitium patens and charophyte algae, employing a combination of genetic, molecular and biochemical tools.
Research aspects are part of the "Cluster of Excellence on Plant Sciences (CEPLAS)" , the DFG Collaborative Research Center TRR341 “Plant Ecological Genetics” , the DFG Priority Program “Molecular Adaptation to Land: plant evolution to change (Madland)” , the International Max-Planck-Research School (IMPRS) and the Graduate School for Biological Sciences (GSfBS) .
